The Rod
Daiwa Harrier X 5'8" 65-120 pound, 1-Piece jigging rod is perfect for jigging 4-16 ounces and is appropriately powered to handle Lingcod and Halibut, but light enough to still have fun fishing over a Rockfish school. The blank is lightweight, making it easy to fish rod-in-hand all day.
The Reel
The Daiwa Saltist is one of our top-end saltwater levelwind reels, and the Saltist 40 in particular is built for the stress of big game fishing, but offers a smooth retrieve and solid drag system that makes this reel a pleasure to fish.
The Line
We spool up this combo with P-Line EndurX 65 pound braided line. The reel holds 400 yards, which makes this reel fitting to fish all of our nearshore banks and even offshore in most locations.
